Lens-Artists Challenge #205: Beauty in the Eyes

Tina hosts this week’s Lens-Artists Challenge – The Eyes Have It, asking us to share photos that show expression through eyes. Whether it’s birds or mammals, eyes showcase emotion and beauty. Here are a few of mine, starting with some cute zoo eyes:

Here are some eyes that I have seen frequently in my yard this week. These phoebe fledglings barely notice me; their eyes are on mommy and daddy frantically bringing them bugs to eat. (They’re so fast that I could not get the parents in a clear shot.) And of course, their eyes are so dark that it’s hard to see them with their black feathers (you’d have to zoom in).

Sometimes, you just have to avoid eye contact when you’re in trouble…

I’ll finish with some of my favorite people’s eyes.

Eyes are a window to the soul and come in all shapes, sizes, and colors. There’s definitely a story behind every set. I hope you’ve enjoyed these eyes’ stories.

  3. Wonderful from start to finish Dawn. The animals are marvelous, especially that stunning flamingo. And of course the puppy-dog eyes (now we know where that expression comes from !). Great set
