A Photo a Week Challenge: Views

As someone who is obsessed with landscape photography and the views that come with it, I was excited to see Nancy Merrill’s photo challenge — A Photo a Week: Views. I have tried to include a few of my favorites in this post, but the truth is, I love nature and can find peacefulness surrounded by beauty in many places.

A view back at the Bixby Bridge, Big Sur highway, and California Sea Otter State Game Refuge, near Carmel, California.

A view towards Big Basin Redwoods State Park (before the fire), near Boulder, California.

A view from the backyard of my old house: sunset over White Tanks Mountains in Arizona; unedited!

A bird’s-eye view of Waikiki from hotel balcony after sunrise in Oahu, Hawaii.

A view of Honolulu and Waikiki Beach from the top of Diamond Head in Oahu, Hawaii.

A view of Waikiki Beach from balcony of hotel bar in Oahu, Hawaii.

A view of Waikiki Beach from Duke’s restaurant table in Oahu, Hawaii.

A view with my feet up: northern rim of Grand Canyon National Park (and San Francisco Peaks in distance) in Arizona.

A view of Huntington Beach, California, the pier, and the sun setting behind Catalina Island from hotel balcony.

I am an avid nature and ecology lover and enjoy sharing my photography in my blog writings. I will often be out early in the morning or late in the evening with my camera, trying to capture the peacefulness and beauty around me.
