CBWC: Wheels

With the Tour de France going on right now, I thought I would share some photos from this past spring’s Redlands Bicycle Classic for Cee’s Black and White Challenge (CBWC) – One, Two, or Three Wheels. A lot of these racers use our five-day race to prepare for the racing season and many compete at the Tour de France and other international races.

The 36th Annual Redlands Bicycle Classic hosted both women’s and men’s races and included professional and elite racers, requiring a lot of support.

Women racers at the beginning of their fifth and last day of grueling racing.

Women racers coming up over the hill in a shady part of the race course.

The men cyclists race down a steep hill on the last day of racing, trying to gain momentum for the approaching uphill climb.

After reaching the top of a steep hill, men prepare for sharp turns and steeper hills ahead.

Redlands Bicycle Classic did not disappoint, and the riders really gutted it out for an awesome finish. This last set of photos shows this winner’s emotions for the final race.

Experiencing this race in my neighborhood makes me want to travel to France. I’m sure a lot of these racers are out there at the Tour de France right now!

I am an avid nature and ecology lover and enjoy sharing my photography in my blog writings. I will often be out early in the morning or late in the evening with my camera, trying to capture the peacefulness and beauty around me.

  1. You really took some great pictures of this race! Difficult to capture the intensity of the bikers efforts but you did!
