Sunday Stills: Pastel Flowers

This week, I am sharing southern California’s flowers for Terri’s Sunday Stills – Monthly Color Challenge: Pastel Colors, Dawn Miller’s Spring Festival Week #4, and Cee’s Flower of the Day (FOTD).

Last week, I shared the start of California’s desert superbloom. I live somewhere between the desert and the beach, and we have had weird weather this year…but finally, my gardens are starting to bloom.

Pink Camellias burst with pastel color this spring.

Macro view of pastel Sea Lavender blossoms.

First rose in my garden this spring–full of pastel yellows and white.

Everything in southern California is coming to life. Of course, it wouldn’t be spring in SoCal without visiting Disneyland–their landscapers do a fabulous job of planting pastels in their gardens. Even the trees have pastel flowers on them.

Disney knows how to bring out the best pastel colors for spring.

I am looking forward to more spring weather and tons of flowers. Hope everyone has a peaceful week, and you get time to stop and smell the flowers.

  1. Disneyland would not look the same without all those pastel florals! But your own florals are stunning, Dawn! I miss seeing camellias–they were everywhere in my former home of Sacramento (aka Camellia City). High five on the triple-dip photo challenge trifecta! It really is great to see Southern Cal green, lush and full of flowers. Our drive down Hwy 15 was highlighted by all the poppies and yellow daisies! Gorgeous!
