  1. Hi Dawn, nice to meet you and have you along for the ride at Sunday Stills. I was obsessed with California poppies and saw them everywhere from February through May where I used to live in Sacramento. Here in Nine Mile Falls, north of Spokane, WA, we don’t see these unless someone planted them. Thanks for the beautiful poppy show!

      Sacramento has some beautiful flowers too. Unfortunately, it’s getting hot everywhere in the west. They don’t bloom as much or last as long. I bet you have a lovely variety of flowers up north. 😎

    1. Thank you! 😊 I took these photos on a hike at an orchard in foothills of mountains…not. a. single. cloud. anywhere. Go figure! These poppies disappear fast, especially with a heat wave. Next time (hopefully). 😎 I think you are right about what you said earlier…just keep trying. The other day, it was too overcast and the poppies weren’t even open. 🤣
