CFFC – Fascinatingly Colorful Birds

On recent trip to the hummingbird sanctuary at the San Diego Zoo, I discovered a myriad of colorful South American birds. I thought they would be a perfect fit for Cee’s Fun Foto Challenge (CFFC) – four or more colors in one photo.

Green-backed Trogon at San Diego Zoo, normally found in South American forests; captured with 300mm DSLR lens.
Violaceous Euphonia at San Diego Zoo, normally found in eastern South American forests; captured with 300mm DSLR lens.
Purple Honeycreeper at San Diego Zoo, normally found in forest canopies of South America; captured with 300mm DSLR lens.
Wattled Jacana at San Diego Zoo, normally found in Trinidad, Guiana, and eastern Bolivia; captured with 300mm DSLR lens.
