Lens-Artists Challenge #285: Warm Colors

I am a little late to posting this week, but when I saw Egidio’s Lens-Artists Challenge using warm colors, I knew I wanted to share a couple of my photos from Arches National Park. (After all, it is easy to find warm colors in a hot desert.) Fortunately, my visit turned out to be a peaceful experience, and I was grateful for the reservation system that kept the crowds down.

Visiting Arches National Park during the summer was a little daunting, but we were lucky enough to get a reservation and made the most of it–plus, it was not as hot as Arizona in the summer! Moab is just a quick drive away from the park, as well as many other national and state parks, making Arches National Park a great place to visit.

Thanks for stopping by to check out my photos. Hope you have a peaceful week!

  1. Dawn, what a wonderful choice you made with these photos of Arches NP. Your beautiful images truly showed the vibrancy that park offers. We had wonderful hikes there. Park Avenue is such great hike and beautiful view. In another photo, I even see the Three Gossips in the background. Great and gorgeous images! Thanks for sharing this gallery.

    1. Thank you! We went when it was a bit hot, so I didn’t get to do long hikes. Lots of stopping to take photos and short hikes. The sun hit the rocks perfectly, though. Will definitely be going back to see more!

    1. Yeah, if you notice a lot of my photos don’t have people…I drive my husband nuts. Sometimes I’ll wait till people pass by before taking pics. But in that photo, I liked the perspective of people compared to sheer size of those arches. 😎

I think everyone has different personal experiences when they visit , hike and view these magnificent stone structures. The landscape and your photos remind me of the first time I saw this park and was mezmerized by the sheer size and brillant colors of the rocks. Great photography!
