Some of the migratory birds are also visiting and have to share space with the local robins and western bluebirds.
The bluebirds really love their bath, too. These local birds will visit in the afternoons after spending the day in pine and ash trees.
Even the warblers are getting in on the action. I think they are yellow-throated warblers, but there are a few different varieties so it is hard to tell which warbler species they are for sure. These yellow birds have been here a few weeks and like to visit the bath whenever the other birds are present.
Not to be outdone, even the woodpeckers are coming for a visit. There are two red-shafted northern flickers in the yard, and I managed to capture this one on the bird feeder pole. He never quite made it to the bath; he’s a little timid, despite being larger than the other birds.

The variety of birds at your waterfall are amazing and seem to enjoy the company! Did not realize that we had so many different birds in the neighborhood! It will be interesting to see the migration pattern of the fly-ins and how it changes over time.

The birds were really busy today! I didn’t see those Cedar Waxwings today but can’t wait to capture them with the camera next time!
