FOTD for Macro Monday – Purple Salvia

Just before Christmas I found red Salvia flowers. To my delight, I have also found purple Salvia flowers, or Mexican sage bush, which I captured with my 300mm DSLR lens for Cee’s photo challenge – Flower of the Day (FOTD). I was able to get up close enough with my lens to see the fuzzy growth on the flowers and stems, so I thought it would be a great addition to Macro Monday as well.
