As I wandered around the nearby local park this winter, I heard what sounded like a million birds in the tree above me. When I looked up, I realized the tree was covered in berries, and what seemed like all of the robins in California, a couple of cedar waxwings, and other small birds were in a hysteria, flying from branch to branch to steal the blue berries. Using my 300mm DSLR lens, I managed to capture one robin for Cee’s photo challenge – Flower of the Day (FOTD).

So many pretty robins but they know where to go for food! The California rain really helped the berry bushes.
